Human Rights & Responsible Sourcing
Our Commitment to Human Rights
Rilave Limited is committed to respecting internationally recognised human rights in our operations and supply chain. We believe that all individuals connected to our business, including employees, suppliers, contractors, and workers involved in the production of our jewellery, should be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
Our approach is informed by widely accepted international principles, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We seek to operate responsibly and to take reasonable steps to identify and address risks related to labour standards and working conditions within our supply chain.
As a growing business, we aim to embed responsible sourcing practices into our day-to-day decision-making and supplier relationships.
Key Areas of Focus
While the scale of our operations is currently limited, we recognise that certain risks may arise in global supply chains, particularly within the sourcing of precious metals and gemstones. Our focus includes:
- Prevention of modern slavery and forced labour
- Avoidance of child labour
- Fair working hours and lawful wages
- Non-discrimination and equal treatment
- Safe and healthy working conditions
- Respect for freedom of association
- Access to appropriate grievance mechanisms
We expect our suppliers to uphold similar standards and to comply with applicable local laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate.
Transparency in Supply Chains
Rilave Limited publishes an annual Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Although we are currently below the turnover threshold requiring mandatory publication, we have chosen to publish our statement voluntarily in order to be transparent about the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Our statement outlines:
- Our business structure and supply chain
- The policies and commitments we maintain
- Our proportionate due diligence processes
- Identified risk areas
- Actions taken and future improvements
Each annual statement is approved and signed by the Director and made publicly available on our website.
